Isn’t it wonderful when a repeat client becomes a friend? Meet Michelle, an Artist and Reiki practitioner who lives in Sheffield.
Since photographing Michelle’s wedding back in 2015, we’ve done regular photoshoots to create confident ‘feel good’ images, showcasing Michelle’s crafts, creativity and charming mystique. Sometimes we go for a picnic afterwards too!
Whether we’ve been in a boudoir or the botanical gardens, we’ve always had a great time shooting! I have to say there’s so much joy in celebrating who you are, right now, exactly how you are. It’s empowering, holistically uplifting, brilliantly creative fun. Michelle has embraced body positivity in a world where we are often our own harshest critics, and working with her is always awe inspiring.
Some of my other clients have commented on how they don’t like their appearance in photos, (I’m usually the same) but having worked with me to create some new images for their PR, they’ve felt more accepting of themselves and happier with who they are and how they look. Being comfortable with yourself, and how you present to the world allows you to tell your authentic story and live your life with pride.
There’s nothing I love more than seeing the transformative value of portrait photography, and the way in which it helps us to build confidence, celebrate pride, and embrace the parts of us that others might not see.
When people see their photos and tell me they love what they see - themselves - that’s what gives me the most rewarding accomplished feeling I could have as a photographer. Thank you Michelle! xx
